MICROGAMING CROSS COUNTRY LEAGUE ROUND 4 AND IOM CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE HOSTED BY NAC.

Further to last week’s postponement QE2 is still unfit for use therefore a decision has been made to move the fixture to Crossags, the course was inspected by NAC officials yesterday and it is holding up well.

The IOMAA would like to thank both NAC and WAC for their co-operation in ensuring the Championships go ahead at this busy time of year.

Island Games – Gotland 2017

The IOMAA is pleased to announce that it has published the athletics Selection Policy for the 2017 Island Games being held in Gotland.

Anyone wishing to be considered for selection and representing the Isle of Man in Gotland should complete and return a Declaration of Intent form to the Team Manager, Anthony Brand by 31st December 2016.

MICROGAMING CROSS COUNTRY LEAGUE AND IOM CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP POSTPONEMENT

DETAILS OF ROUND 4 – 24th January 2016, QE11 Peel

MICROGAMING CROSS COUNTRY LEAGUE AND IOM CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP POSTPONEMENT – after last night’s deluge the QE11 high school field is waterlogged, we have therefore taken the decision to move the event to Sunday 31st January.

We appreciate this may cause some inconvenience but feel that a postponement is the best option available to us.

Qualify as an Athletics Coach

We are pleased to offer, in conjunction with England Athletics, an Athletics Coach course, aimed at coaches who have already gained an assistant qualification, on the Isle of Man during 2016.  Also, we are able to offer members of local clubs a £100 discount on the advertised cost.

A minimum of 8 coaches are required for this course to run.

Closing date for applications is 16th March 2016.

Microgaming Cross Country League and IOM Cross Country Championships

MicrogamingLogoCMYK_StackedOn Sunday 24th January Western AC are hosting the fourth round of the Microgaming Cross Country League and IOM Cross Country Championships at QE11.

Athletes are asked to register well in advance of their race. Registration is only open from 12:45 to 14:00.  Please make sure you bring your number if you have registered for the previous rounds.

Please note: Dogs are not permitted on school property and any athletes warming up before the start of racing are asked to close all gates after themselves and spectators are asked to remain behind course markers once racing commences.
