Notes

These times are guidelines and not standards. As such, failure to achieve the main guideline should not necessarily prevent selection if an athlete is consistently performing close to the guideline level. Equally, a “one off” performance superior to the main guideline should not guarantee selection if other criteria are not met.

Team Events

In relays and the half marathon competitors should not be taken to “make up the team”. They should be selected in their own right ie. they should be capable of selection as individual competitors and not merely as team members.

Development Guideline

This guideline is aimed at young athletes under the age of 20 at 31/08/11 or those who are later starters/developers in the sport and have not competed in the games before. If athletes have attained this guideline before they will be expected to have progressed.

Keep Anthony Brand informed of your performances on 453334 or by email on abrand@manx.net
