Medis Cross Country Round 5

Glen Lough - Hosted by WAC

As in previous years the event will be held at Glen Lough Farm in Marown by kind permission of the Quayle family. The venue is easy to locate – it is situated on the main Douglas to Peel Road. From the Douglas direction it is approximately ¾ of a mile on the left-hand side past Union Mills. From Peel it is about ½ a mile on the right after Ballagarey. (It is the popular TT camping site with ample parking and toilets)

The first race, for Under 9 Boys and Girls, will get the meeting underway at 2.00pm. This race will be over a smaller course of approximately 800m. All the remaining races will be over the Glen course which is approximately 0.8 mile per lap.

Course description - grass fields (soft in places - farm lane (firm underfoot) - small stream (wet!) with four crossings per lap. Spikes would be an advantage and it might help to tie your footwear on tightly!!

Race Order:

2.00 pm Under 9 Boys & Girls Small course

2.10 pm Under 11 Boys & Girls 1 lap (includes IOM Championship)

2.15 pm Under 13 Boys & Girls 2 laps

2.15 pm Short Course 2 laps

2.25 pm Under 15 Boys & Girls 3 laps

2.25 pm Under 17 Boys & Girls 4 laps

2.25 pm Junior/Senior/Veteran Women 4 laps

2.25 pm Junior Men 5 laps

2.25 pm Senior/Veteran Men 6 laps

Please use the same number for each round. Registration for all competitors is from 12:45pm to 2:00pm. Entry fees: Juniors (under 18) £3.00; Seniors (18 and over) who are club members £4.00; Seniors who are unaffiliated to a club £6.00. All will be made most welcome.
