Here are the results of the Microgaming Cross Country League – Round 1 held at Castle Rushen High School on Sunday 16 October 2016.
Thanks to Richard Highfield
As many of you may have already noticed this season’s league has been reduced from five rounds to four. There are two reasons for deciding to drop the February fixture; firstly, it is typically not as well attended as the earlier rounds and secondly, it is a move to help alleviate a congested fixture list.
Also, league positions will now be calculated using a competitors’ best three performances and there will no longer be double points for the championship race.
As has already been announced, the first round will be held at Castle Rushen High School this weekend. We intend to hold the remaining three rounds at Ballasaig Farm (Maughold), Crossags and Glen Lough (Championship race) respectively. More details regarding these fixtures will be announced in due course.
Best of luck to all competitors and we hope you all enjoy this year’s cross country season.
